It was the changing of the guard as Team I departed and Team 2 arrived here in Guatemala City. Everyone arrived safe and sound, but minus three suitcases which we are praying will arrive tomorrow. We have six families represented on this team; two have been in Guatemala with us before, but it’s a new experience for the others. We got everyone settled in at the church, which is our “home” for the week, and we will join in the wonderful worship here in the morning.
We’ll be packing and sorting equipment for the clinics and outreaches tomorrow so that we’ll be ready to head out early Monday morning for Palencia. Please pray with us for health and safety for all the team and partners here, and that the hearts of those we will meet in Palencia are already open to what the Lord will show them next week.
We are looking forward to working once again with Pastor Menfil and strengthening the relationships that have formed during the last four years, as well as establishing new ones.
As we continue on with the “Guatemalan Journey,” we look forward to all that the Lord has in store; it’s always more than we could ever imagine or think!
